 AMERICANS ARE SOUND ASLEEP But they are soon to awaken to a nightmare What I am about to say is not prophecy, but prediction. Anyone who pays attention to the news can see what is happening. The value of the U.S. dollar is dropping like a rock. China and a host of other countries are divesting themselves of the dollar, which causes its value to continue to drop. Why does this matter to you? Because, as the dollar's value declines, prices of everything rise. The drop of the dollar is the main reason for the rise in oil prices. As oil prices rise, transportation costs go up, because all goods are shipped at least part of the way by trucks, which run on diesel fuel. Those increases in cost are passed on to the consumer. The drop in the dollar value also means that everything the U.S. buys outside the country, in addition to the oil, costs more. If the dollar's value drops by 25%, the price of whatever goods we buy, goes up by 25%. With winter coming, more heating oil is used, further decreasing oil supplies and thus raising the cost of oil - supply and demand. As we are facing this financial crisis, large parts of the U.S. are under drought conditions, ranging from moderate to severe. As food production in this country is lowered, we have to buy more food from other countries, which is getting more and more expensive, as the dollar becomes worth less and less. The price increases for everything you buy, will mean that many people will no longer be able to buy anything but the bare necessities. Throw the credit crunch into the mix, and the purchase power of the average American declines even further. Many people have been living on credit. When credit is no longer available, they won't be able to buy all the toys, electronics, and other luxury items. The end result of this is that manufacturing will decline and company profits will decline. When that happens, a lot of jobs will be cut. All the company losses or declines in earnings will lead to a severe stock market decline, possibly even a crash and a depression on a scale even larger than the 1930s. The retirement funds of many people will be wiped out, or nearly so. As I write this, the stock market continues to head south. Those in the know, can see the writing on the wall. So I cannot be sure of the exact order in which events will take place. It is possible that the stock market will crash even ahead of some of the other financial crises. As if all this were not bad enough, there are many other dangers ahead. This nation has turned its back on the God who blessed it. They have become worse than Sodom and Gomorrah. California has been leading the charge toward making what God calls an abomination into an alternative lifestyle, not only to be tolerated, but given preferential treatment and pushed on students in public schools and universities as something to be experimented. A new law signed by the Governor allows for anyone to use whatever restroom or locker room for the gender they most identify with. Following the Governor's signing of this law, California began to experience terrible and very destructive fires and other problems, such as large traffic problems, such as a 100 vehicle pile up, etc. Unless California repents, God will destroy it. The rest of the nation is following right along. The House on Wednesday approved the first federal ban on job discrimination against gays, lesbians and bisexuals. I don't know when or exactly how, but God will punish this nation. The churches in this country are for the most part apostate. People are flocking to those preaching a prosperity gospel. Their concern is not with their eternal salvation, but rather greed for material possessions. It is amazing to me that false prophets like Benny Hinn, et al, have such an enormous following, even though his prophecies have all proven false. They are thumbing their noses at God's word and are inviting His wrath. In addition to all the above, our Government is working very hard to bring about a Middle East peace agreement, which will involve dividing God's land. God will punish us for this, too. It is quite possible that when they divide God's land, God will divide ours, via a large earthquake that will split the country from the great lakes to the gulf coast. I am not prophecying anything, although others are, and it is certainly a possibility. Another great danger is that Russia and China both want to supplant the U.S. as the only super power. At this time, they are working together behind the scenes to accomplish this. Once they have done so, they will turn on each other, as each plans to be the only super power. However, for now, they plot together and once this nation is sufficiently weakened, expect them to attack. There are many who claim to have been given prophecies regarding this. Considering that the bible does not seem to have anything to say about this nation during the end times events, I fear that this nation won't be of any significant influence anymore. Unless this nation repents, it will go the way of all the other great powers of history. I see no evidence that repentance is likely. |
